About
KyuRi Lee
a.k.a Special K(ay)
I am a UX / Web designer, and illustrator, who is passionate about bringing positive change to the tech industry. My goal is to place user centric design methodologies at the core of design interests and passions, while utilizing my vivid creativity. Being attentive to little details, I will be the first person in the room who will notice your haircut.
In my spare time, you might catch me long-boarding along the Seawall, feeding llamas, and floating on water.
Currently I am working as a lead UX Designer at a Vancouver based game company. I am in charge of designing UX/UI of our tool based web application, the OpenSim web viewer alongside technical and layout constraints. I collaborate with the development and art team on building the design strategy through leading the wireframing/prototyping process to satisfy internal and external stakeholders.
At my previous e-commerce company, I introduced data driven customer personas in order to empathize and identify pain points during their journey. While utilizing this process I created human centric design solutions for multi-faceted campaigns for both web and mobile, including an interactive lookbook, e-commerce web pages and email campaigns.
